Delivery & returns

From the workshop to your door.

Every piece leaves the Cairo workshop packed by hand, by the people who made it. This page says how it travels, what that costs, and what happens if it is not right when it arrives.

Within Egypt

Orders travel by courier to any address in Egypt. The delivery charge depends on where the parcel is going and how large it is; the studio confirms it with your order, before anything is dispatched, and you can say no at that point with nothing owed.

Outside Egypt

We send pieces abroad, and each journey is quoted on request — write to the studio with the piece and the address, and we come back with a price, a carrier and a time. Duties and taxes on arrival are set by the destination country and are paid there.

Packing

Every piece is wrapped and boxed by hand in the workshop. Stone and glass travel in fitted foam; metal is wrapped so nothing touches a polished face. We write the day a parcel leaves, with a way to follow it.

Returns and exchanges

A piece can be returned or exchanged within fourteen days of arriving, as long as it is unused and in its packaging. Write to the studio first so we know it is coming; we will say where to send it and arrange the collection where we can. The cost of sending it back is yours unless the piece was faulty or not what you ordered.

Pieces made to order

A pre-ordered or commissioned piece is made for you, to your brief, once you have paid. It cannot be returned or exchanged unless it arrives faulty — the workshop has already made it, and there is no shelf to put it back on.

If something is wrong

If a piece arrives damaged or faulty, photograph it as it came out of the box and write to us within a few days. We replace it, or refund it if it cannot be replaced, and we cover the return.

Refunds

A refund goes back to the card the order was paid with, once the piece is back in the workshop and has been looked at. Banks take a few days to show it.

Anything else

Write to the studio with your order number and we answer by email, usually within two working days.
